A little art

Well, I finally had a few minutes to make some art... I made it for the Mixed Media Monday challenge, so will show it there. The subject is maps. The background is map out of an old encyclopedia, the torn bit is background paper stamped with a topographic contour map, the stamp is real, the angel is a photo and the butterfly is a transparency. oh yess and the airmail sheet is from a collage sheet, but I don't remember whose. I stuck the whole thing to a scrapbook 12 x 12 paper, and called it a day!

Hi Kim, thanks for visiting me - I agree with you that I'm very blessed to have such a wonderful friend to add to my collection of Dan's books. I love your squirrels - we don't have them in Australia and when I was in the US I obsessively took photos of every one I saw. Your blog is fascinating. I love how we can find new blogs to appreciate. I'll visit again. Carol

Wonderful use of color. Also, a great way to inspire the use of different things you collect on a special day trip and want to remember.
