The Folkwear Siberian Parka is not a bad pattern but it also tends to grow with so many insets. Use some inexpensive fabric and be mindful of all the yoke pieces that add to the width. Myself if I was making it again would go down a size. The hood tends to be very close, because in the real cold, you want to keep the warmth in and the cold out. You might want to adjust it.

I have been so remiss... Theresa thanks for the info and encouragement, and yes, my kitties are so very spoiled and loving. I don't know what I would ever do without their funny affectionate antics!
