Spring Has Arrived!

I went camping last weekend, and Friday night it was really cold... It got under 30 degrees. Today, it will be 80! I moved the indoor plants outside, and hope I won't have to bring them back inside. The trees are blooming finally, and I have cabin fever. I started to sweep the deck, around the peanuts, of course, so as not to disturb the squirrels, and while moving the lawnchair, settled in with a glad of tea and a chocolate bunny, and took off my shoes. Ah, my toes are finally free! They have been waiting all winter for this!

The squirrels were undeterred by my presence, and stuffed two peanuts in his mouth most trips. The birds are out too. Red wing blackbirds, nuthatches, sparrows, chickadees, titmice, cardinals, even a bluejay. Somehow I never get the camera ready in time to get the picture.

Coronation

I am going to our historical society's kingdom coronation today, camping through Sunday. The days will be quite nice, but nights will be 35 to 40degrees. Kinda chilly! I should be warm though, and am looking forward to it immensely. The person in charge of the reception has put out a call for munches and my contribution is something called Black and Whites, from a murder mystery book I read by Joanne Fluke. My work they're good! About the best chocolate cookies I have ever had?

So, fire bowl, cot, tent and sheepskin, I will be plenty warm, and with chocolate, who wouldn't be happy? Pics maybe, when I return.

Almost Summer, Winter is A-coming.

The day began early with a ride north for a little minor surgery.  The sun was up before we left, but not before we rose.  The sky was a won...
