The Rain....

Two and a half days of rain. Yes, we always need the water, but it was so raw and cold, and I needed some sunshine. We did finally get some, but then I didn't have my camera. I had it in my car to take pictures of it for the construction company that managed to hit about 2/3s of my dark blue car with white overspray from painting the parking lot lines. It looks like the car has chickenpox. My car repair shop says it can be rubbed out and then repolished, but it will take most of the day. What a pain. It is bad enough having all the noise of the construction, all the dirt and inconvenience, when you add this, it is pretty irritating. Hopefully the company will pay without too much hassle.

That's terrible about your car. It's just the thoughtless inconvenience of it all. I hope you get it sorted.

I left some of the post about the Eriskay Society on Merlin's blog, but basically, they are trying to force me to have him gelded. It's not going to happen. He's still valid as a stallion, but it will be difficult to take him to shows, apparently! I just dislike bullying tactics. The problem is actually under review by the Scottish Parliament as it's not just Merlin that's being affected. I will bide my time :)

Hi Kim,

I've posted a link to a video of Merlin playing football, on his blog. Please excuse the commentary by the children and myself, I don't know how to edit it!

Hope you're having a good weekend

Hi - Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment. Don't be intimidated by thread sketching. You don't need to know how to draw, you can just trace your pattern on to the tear away interfacing and stitch along the traced lines. It takes a little practice if you haven't done any free motion embroidery but it isn't very hard to do.

Almost Summer, Winter is A-coming.

The day began early with a ride north for a little minor surgery.  The sun was up before we left, but not before we rose.  The sky was a won...
