
For this I used a transparency, and painted the back. Although I didn't quite get the skin part evenly colored, I think the technique has alot of possibility! Add in papers aged with Ranger's distress ink pads and some gesso and I couldn't miss!

Okay, so they aren't perfect, they were fun. I haven't got the white pen down perfectly, sometimes I don't know when to quit. I used Derwent watercolour pencils on the first then white pen. The second one I used the Derwent Inktense pencils, then used water on them I am working on another one with the outline pencil to see if I like that technique too. I would never had played with photos like this without the push of the Yahoo Group The Artist's Circle. Great group! Great fun!

The background is map out of an old encyclopedia, the torn bit is background paper stamped with a topographic contour map, the stamp is real, the angel is a photo and the butterfly is a transparency. oh yess and the airmail sheet is from a collage sheet, but I don't remember whose. I stuck the whole thing to a scrapbook 12 x 12 paper, and called it a day!
